The Sheffield Round Walk route is a popular 15 mile circular walk around the city of Sheffield. The walk takes you around the city via parks and woodland trails while helping you to discover little pockets of the city that you may not have known about.

The Porter Valley section of the route starts at Endcliffe Park and makes its way through Whiteley Woods and Porter Clough before finishing up outside the Norfolk Arms pub on the edge of the Peak District.
Distance: Roughly 4 miles / 6.5 km Difficulty: Leisurely, but some may struggle on the incline
The Limb Valley section starts where section 1 finishes, at the Norfolk Arms pub. This is probably the easiest section of the round walk as it’s pretty much all down hill. The walk winds down through Limb Valley past Whirlow Brook Hall, and down through historic Ecclesall Woods to Dore Train station.
Distance: Roughly 3 miles / 4.6 km Difficulty: Leisurely – Mostly downhill
The Sheaf Valley section of the walk starts at Dore Train Station and features a number of hills, so can be quite challenging. The walk winds up through Ladies Spring Wood, by Beauchief Golf Course, through Chancet Wood to finish up at Graves Park.
Distance: Roughly 3.7 miles / 6 km Difficulty: Strenuous – Some steep uphill sections
The Gleadless Valley section of the Sheffield Round Walk starts outside Graves Park and winds it’s way to the stunning views of Meersbrook Park, before making it’s way through Nether Edge back toward Endcliffe Park.
Distance: Roughly 4.3 miles / 7 km Difficulty: Leisurely but with uphill parts
