When you think of city centre living, you don’t often think of the words ‘dog friendly’ but Sheffield has always been about blazing it’s own path. Sheffield city centre’s dog friendly venues are on the rise all the time. Affectionately known locally as ‘the worlds biggest village’ Sheffield doesn’t just offer a friendly welcome and quirky independent shops, bars and cafes – it’s also quite easy to get around the centre without the need for taxis or busses. 

Whether you’re a local looking for dog friendly pubs to have a drink with friends, a dog friendly cafe for a bite to eat, or somebody staying in one of Sheffield’s many pet friendly hotels and exploring the city with your fur pal, there are so many locations that will welcome you and your dog.

South Street Kitchen

Dog Friendly Cafe
Just behind the train station in Sheffield's rejuvenated Park Hill area you'll find South Street Cafe, a great place to stop off for a vegan bite to eat. Their speciality is hummus, you have to try one of their  hummus plates.

Dog Friendly Cafe
A cultural and traditional Punjabi cafe and restaurant with a focus on North Indian cuisine. You'll find them near Park Hill, they serve up an affordable, nutritious menu throughout the day.

Your first stop when arriving by train, the Sheffield Tap is a hugely popular stop for ale drinkers due to the selection on offer.

An artisan gift shop and woodland themed cafe, this coffee house has a cosy feeling all year round. Homemade cakes, sandwiches salads and more. 

Spirit of Sheffield

Dog Friendly Cafe
A cosy little cafe at the bottom of the Moor that serves up plenty of hot drinks and tasty treats. They also serve alcohol, and distil their own vodka and gin (personalised bottles also available)

Blacks Outdoors

Dog Friendly Shop
Blacks is in outdoor shop, and their store on The Moor is welcoming of dogs (you'll likely spot a water bowl outside). As a dog owner, you're probably out in all weathers with your four-legged friend, so why not pop in for a waterproof?

Brewery & Bar

Dog Friendly Pub
You don't get much more efficient than brewing the beer on site. Triple Point's staff are incredibly welcoming of dogs, and there's some great beers to try too. Twisted Burger Company are on food duty if you want a bite to eat.

Popular craft beer brand BrewDog's bar in Sheffield is a great place to check out their range of beers. Every third Sunday of the month they host a free dog beer and treats day. 

The Common Room

Common Room are happy to welcome dog and offer up a fantastic food menu. It can get very busy on a weekend and for big sporting events so bear that in mind. There is also a large staircase for entry (lift is available)

West Streets very own Irish bar Molly Malones is always a popular spot. They're dog friendly but beware that it will get busy in an evening at the weekend when they host live music.
